In case you missed the 2012 Back to Basics Smoothment, we'd like to share this well-rounded meal replacement smoothie that you can have any time of the day! This Berry Synergy smoothie tastes great, and because it is densely packed with complete nutrition, it will keep you feeling great, too.
To make sure your smoothie meal is well balanced, include: a healthy amount of protein, fiber and fat (hemp or chia seeds will give you all three in one tiny, delicious seed); leafy green veggies (kale is so delicious in a smoothie); and micronutrient rich foods loaded with vitamins, minerals, amino acids and antioxidants like fresh berries or raw cacao nibs.
Here is the recipe for this wholesome smoothie:
1/3Â Cup Navitas Naturals Cashew Whole Nuts
2 Tbsp Navitas Naturals Hemp Protein Powder
1 Tbsp Navitas Naturals Chia Seeds
1 Tbsp Navitas Naturals Cacao Raw Nibs
1 Cup Ice
2 Cups frozen Blueberries
5-6 large Medjool Dates (pits removed)
1 Cup Kale (center stem removed, packed)
2 Cups Water
