    Finding Balance in Life

    Hello Navitas family! My name is Mae and I'm so thrilled to be the Insider of the Month for October – the most magical time of year! I'm a former lawyer and entrepreneur now working in business development and digital strategy. And, most excitingly, I'm studying natural health, holistic nutrition and functional medicine.

    While I’ll always be a Southern girl at heart, I've lived in some wonderful places around the world, including Chicago, Costa Rica, Israel and Los Angeles. I've had the privilege to travel to even more countries and it was those experiences, especially my trips to Asia and the Middle East, that first sparked my interest in natural remedies and foundational health. I love researching everything from superfoods to complementary medicine.

    I believe that our mental and emotional wellbeing impacts our physical health just as much as the foods we eat. That's why I love Navitas’ "Live Life Positive" message, because I believe our thoughts become our reality. I regularly incorporate meditation and prayer into my morning routine, and try to set new intentions and goals for every month. I appreciate the importance of balance and consistency, so I try my best to eat organic, whole foods, but I can't resist dessert every once in a while. I know that food has the power to be medicine! I believe it's so important for the basis of our daily diets to be brightly colored vegetables, healthy fats, proteins and superfoods, like my favorites, Acai and Matcha.

    I was first introduced to Navitas Organics on Instagram – that's the power of social media at work! I instantly started using Navitas Hemp Seeds in my morning superfood smoothie and the rest is history. I'm so excited to share two fabulous Fall recipes with you later this month and I'd love for you to pop over to my Instagram to say “hi."
