    How I Find Balance in a World of Chaos

    Kayleigh-Christina-WEB-2My name is Kayleigh Christina Clark and I am the creator of the wellness lifestyle blog KayleighChristina.com & @kayleigh.christina, co-founder of CLEARstem Skincare, Holistic Nutritionist and co-host of the podcast Balancing Your Hustle. My WHY behind what I do is to connect, make a positive impact and inspire people to become the best possible versions of themselves. I do this through my multiple platforms and living my life to its fullest. Even though my career leads itself to a lot of screen time, I am very passionate about inspiring by example - showing how I find balance in my daily life to make time for myself, my husband, my family and my friends. I think the key to happiness is surrounding yourself with the people and things that bring you constant joy. 

    I have had a love for cooking and creating in the kitchen for as long as I can remember. My parents always let me play “restaurant” when I was little, giving me full range to take orders and cook a full meal for them. I was the 10-year-old that asked for cookbooks for Christmas and couldn’t wait to flip through all the pages and bookmark the recipes I was going to make.

    My creativity flourished even more when I made the connection that what you eat is a direct reflection on how you look and feel. I am allergic to quite a few different foods and have Celiac Disease. I could easily let that get me down and make me feel limited and left out, but instead I choose to live a life of positivity and focus on what I CAN eat. I think my food restrictions are a blessing and push me to be even more creative. I am inspired to create healthy alternatives to meals I wouldn’t normally be able to eat. I don’t like to categorize how I eat, but you could say it’s close to a Paleo/Whole 30 diet most of the time.

    Living with Celiac Disease poses difficulty digesting and absorbing nutrients from foods. Before my diagnosis, I was at a very low point health-wise where I was continually in and out of different doctors’ offices trying to figure out what was wrong with me. I was extremely deficient in core vitamins and nutrients, my liver was failing, and I was covered in cystic acne. Enter my discovery of Navitas Organics superfoods! I began exploring the power of superfoods after reading about Navitas Maca Powder and its amazing health benefits. Maca was the first superfood I started really bringing into my diet. I started to feel changes in my energy levels, skin texture and acne, and overall mood. From there, I found myself doing even more research and began to add other types of superfoods into meals, such as Cacao Powder in smoothies and Chia Seeds in my water.
