“Mother: the most beautiful word on the lips of mankind.”
- Kahil Gibran
A Mother's Day brunch should be special, yet decidedly simple, with a focus on some seasonal treasures. So, to celebrate the mothers in our lives, I've gathered a few favorite recipes and styling tips for creating a welcoming ambiance to help you enjoy a wholesome, beautiful brunch together as a family. Happy Mother's Day!
Mastering the Table-Scape: The quickest way to dress up a table is with fresh flowers, as a beautiful bouquet or two of springtime blossoms goes a very long way! While you can certainly buy flowers at your store (or solicit a florist), gathering some leaves and blooms from your yard or neighborhood can offer a surprisingly stunning effect. Use your best plates, but keep the table casual and organic with soft linen napkins draped over the setting so as not to look overly stiff.
Drink Happy: You likely know your mom's drink preference, so be sure to have her favorite beverage on hand, as well as something that's warm, such as tea or coffee, as well as water. You can also consider making virgin mimosas with orange juice and kombucha.
